EcoActivism

EcoActivism

Sometimes
It's The Little Things

EcoActivism is an individual, social or political undertaking aimed at promoting positive environmental protection and resource sustainability through grassroots organizing, advocacy, or direct action that addresses pressing environmental issues such as chemical and plastic pollution, real biodiversity loss, and even climate change. It relies on challenging corporate practices and government policies that harm the environment.

EcoActivism is gaining traction in the plastic waste and pollution crisis. The plastic debris and microfiber / microplastics accumulation in every strata of our oceans, from the deepest trenches to the great garbage patches floating in our ocean’s gyres is at a tipping point and must be dealt with before every living creature on our planet is totally overwhelmed.

Let us not mince words. Instead reinvigorate the environmental awareness and action of the last century. The 1970 Earth Day heralded significant moment to EcoActivism. It brought together millions of people to advocate for environmental protection across the United States. Let us build on that foundation and make a brighter future for all mankind and every living creature.

It is for our political leaders to enact legislation and regulations that address this enigma. As people we each must tackle the Hydra of persistent multifaceted plastic pollution situation that can no longer be ignored. Please join us and other organizations work for sustainability of our natural resources to address the complexity of the issues facing us. All of the petrochemical corporation greenwashing is not going to address or help the situation.

JUST DO IT!

Sometimes even young people organize to participate in beach cleanups and EcoActivism

Or, even surfers...
Another grassroots organization for Environmental Activism

"Single-Use Plastics are Poisoning Our Ocean, Planet, and Us"

"Plastics are all around us and a part of our everyday lives. They're also increasingly inside us – microplastics have been found in our lungs, blood and throughout the human body. An estimated 11 million tons of plastic enter ocean waters every year, which is the equivalent of a trash truck dumping a full load of plastics into our ocean every minute of every day of the year. At this rate, the amount of plastic pollution entering our ocean is currently doubling every six years. If these trends continue, the total weight of plastic pollution in our ocean could exceed the total weight of all fish in the ocean by 2050."

Letters and even boycotts are effective ways to be heard.

There comes a time when people must be heard. But, to do that it demands action must accompany the words. Supporting environmental charities, foundations, businesses and educational institutions will influence legislators to see the worth of the environmental cause.

Environmental activism requires zealous collaboration of social, scientific, political, and concerned individuals to address these pressing environmental concerns.
EcoActivism includes joining and supporting others who share the same goal.

Do not deny the challenges the world faces!

Pessimism and despair are never
the answer.
Be bold and
speak up; be the agent of change.

MAKE YOURSELF HEARD!
