As The Sun Rises In The East…
We Look Forward To A New Day.
Nourishing the Sustainable Resources of Our Planet
And, the sun brings forth its light…
THE MISSION OF OUR ORGANIZATION:
OurBlueOrb.Org is an evolving grassroots environmental awareness and advocacy organization dedicated to educating, publishing, and amplifying the most urgent environmental news and information of our time. Rooted in the First Earth Day vision of 1970 of Senator Gaylord Nelson and the writing and science of Rachel Carson, we call for a Renaissance of the Environmental Movement.
OurBlueOrb.Org works toward the sustainability of our natural resources, life and achieving biological stability while preserving and sustaining our environment and the biosphere.
The time to act is now. We choose to do so.
Wake up. Speak up. Be heard.

This year the world population will exceed
8 billion. It takes more than just dollars to solve environmental problems. Sustained and dedicated environmental activism is necessary. When many share the same sustainability vision nothing is impossible.
OurBlueOrb.Org and sr+ sustainable resources are dedicated to developing this synergy: Our vision of the future - Healthy Sustainable Resources are possible when all are committed to the environment and take action to improve it. Advocate for sustainable resources. Right Now!
OUR COMMITMENT:
Our Blue Orb is an evolving grassroots organization of concerned individuals dedicated to improving the conditions of our planet for all its inhabitants, especially nourishing our precious natural resources. We collaborate and network for the good of all earth’s creatures. We believe like Senator Gaylord Nelson: that environmental protection requires enforceable action, active advocacy, and the political will to hold those who damage our planet accountable.
That work remains unfinished. We choose to finish it.
We publish, educate, advocate, and amplify. Through the SR+ IngeniousVortex EcoBlog — fifteen years of documented environmental writing — and the OurBlueOrb.org Monthly Environmental Briefing, we curate and distribute the most significant breaking environmental news to a growing global audience. We cover ocean health, environmental policy, plastic contamination and pollution. We work together to mitigate all the urgent crises threatening the sustainability of our natural resources and the viability of our ecosystems.
We pay particular attention to the threats facing the entire global food chain: overfishing that depletes ocean ecosystems; PFAS contamination that poisons the water and soil our food depends on; and the geometrically increasing contamination crises of plastics, microplastics, and nanoplastics that have infiltrated every level of the entire Food Web’s Biological Network. What begins as plastic pollution in our oceans, waterways, and landfills breaks down into microplastics and then into nanoplastics — particles so small they are now found in human blood, breast milk, and brain tissue. This contamination continuum moves from the ocean floor to the dinner table, from the water we drink to the air we breathe. These are not abstract environmental concerns. They are direct and accelerating threats to human survival.
We believe in the environmental movement. We call for the Renaissance of the Environmental Momentum of the last century. This is not a protest, but a necessary realignment of priorities. A fundamental shift in how humanity assesses what matters, a positive shift of environmental momentum. Sustainability is not a preference. The recognition that all life is interconnected is not an opinion. Since Rachel Carson made that observation, it is a fact. We can do better. We shall do better.
We work to build alliances with other environmental organizations, research institutions, and advocacy groups who share our mission. We amplify their work. We ask them to magnify our reach and effort. Together we shall extend the reach of the environmental movement to new audiences — especially young people and children, who will inherit the planet we leave behind and who deserve to inherit one worth living in.
We work to make things better for the environment. We no longer ignore the depletion of our natural resources for personal or corporate profit. Like the sunrise, this light brings the promise of a new and better day.
It is important to realize that even the smallest contributions to improving the environment will have a positive impact on the sustainability of our natural resources and the viability of our ecosystems. We dedicate ourselves to a good outcome. Working together, we can change the world for the better.
Lead a conscious life. Do no harm.
Wake up. Speak up. Be heard.
